Why start your day with eggs?

Eggs have had a bad image for some time mainly because of the views of some scientists being broadcasted loudly on the media. Words like 'fat' and 'high-cholesterol' scare many people. Add the fear of heart attacks and you have a scary recipe to scare anyone of any food.

The high-cholesterol fears have been proven wrong by many scientists in recent years and since the eggs aren't scary anymore, its time to bring them back in the game. Start adding them to your breakfasts because of the numerous benefits they have, and we will be discussing them in this post.

So have you been worried about your immune system or fear catching whatever disease comes out after the Coronavirus? You might want to start by adding at least one egg in your breakfast. You see eggs have almost a quarter of RDA of selenium, the nutrient responsible for regulating your immune system and protecting your body diseases.

We all know that breakfasts are supposed to be heavy and strong, in order to fuel your body well enough to work throughout the day. What you eat after waking up effects the most on your body so make sure it fulfills your body's necessities is the key. Eggs have the energy department covered as well since one single egg contains 15% RDA of your B2 intake, one the 8 B vitamins that help you convert your food into fuel for your body.

Apart from making energy for you, the B team does more for you. The B vitamins get you healthy skin, hair and eyes. Now, who doesn't want that? You'll also want your brain to function properly of course so good news, vitamin B12 covers that for you by ensuring the proper function of your nervous system. Looking and feeling fresh is easy with the B team!

Most people nowadays are deficient in either one or the other vitamin. One of the most found vitamin deficiencies is of vitamin D. Since it is not very abundantly found in food, sunlight is the main source of it. But if you too are deficient in vitamin D like me, you should definitely add eggs to your breakfast since they carry 10% daily value of vitamin D. This means eggs strengthen your bones, teeth as well as heart and help you maintain them. They do this by aiding the absorption of calcium.

In short, they contain all the important ingredients to give your body and mind a good start to the day and then take care of whatever you eat by converting them into energy. So full boil them, half boil, make an omelet or even add them to your morning shake, just make sure they are present in your breakfast.
